A Customized Approach to Healing Your Eyes

Lacrimer was founded by a group of passionate healthcare professionals with over 20 years of experience preparing Autologous Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) in a variety of surgical specialties.

We have over seven years experience preparing these PRP eye drops for selected patients with chronic ocular surface disorders.

Our company maintains the highest standards, ensuring a safe product for our patients.

Our eye drops are prepared in a sterile environment suitable for medication preservation (including the use of a sterile hood).

We are honored to have been recognized by and to receive referrals from several of the nation’s leading ophthalmologists. The staff at Lacrimer cannot wait to help you get the relief you deserve!

About seven years ago, a local ophthalmologist reached out to us to inquire about preparing serum eye drops for her patients.  At that time, ophthalmology was a new specialty for us. So, we began to exhaustively research serum eye drops.

We discovered that serum eye drops, while effective, do not contain a concentrated volume of growth factors; in fact, serum drops may only contain very few growth factors. Although soothing to the eye, serum eye drops have limited potential for healing ocular surface disorders.

As a result, we challenged ourselves to develop an eye drop that would have significant healing potential by employing the power of growth factors. Platelets are known to release a variety of growth factors with many healing properties, and they also signal for stem cells. We had seen the benefits of concentrated platelets in many of our other applications.

Building on the initial experience of others, we applied our knowledge and experience with Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) and began preparing autologous PRP eye drops.
